What is WorkWellness?

WorkWellness by RehabMaine is an innovative initiative dedicated to enhancing workplace health and wellness. At RehabMaine, we understand the importance of prioritizing employee well-being to foster a productive and positive work environment. With WorkWellness, we offer employers two options, each designed to enhance overall employee wellness, prevent acute workplace injury, improve chronic pain issues related to the work environment, boost workplace morale, as well as increase employee retention and productivity.

Heather, DPT and Marian, LMT collectively bring to the table an impressive wealth of experience spanning more than 29 years across two distinct yet complementary fields. We each possess a depth of expertise and understanding in musculoskeletal care, cultivated through years of dedicated practice and continuous learning. Individually, we offer specialized insights and skills honed through our respective careers, enriching our collaborative efforts with diverse perspectives and comprehensive knowledge. Together, our combined experience forms a strong foundation, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of your employees.

Option 1: Cost-Sharing Initiative

This approach ensures employees have affordable access to regularly scheduled, preventative maintenance massage therapy sessions using various techniques of manual therapy. This program is designed to make professional massage affordable and sustainable as part of your company’s commitment to employee well-being.

Proposed Cost-Sharing Model (terms/ percentages are customizable, per the employer)

- Employer Contribution: 50% of each employee’s WorkWellness Session cost.

- Employee Contribution: The remaining percentage (e.g., 50%) paid by the employee, setup with employer via payroll deduction.

Example Breakdown:

- Total cost per WorkWellness Session: $75 (one 60-minute session per month; additional sessions would be paid for by the employee in full).

- Employer pays: $37.50

- Employee pays: $37.50

Option 2: On-Site Chair Massage Days

This approach is a simple yet powerful way to reduce stress, relieve tension and re-energize your team. Employees enjoy an abbreviated, rejuvenating chair massage without leaving the office, while employers benefit from improved focus, reduced absenteeism, and a happier, healthier workforce.

Company Sponsored: The company pays 100%.

Why WorkWellness?

Our WorkWellness initiative could significantly enhance the well-being of your employees while simultaneously mitigating the risks associated with occupational injury, especially repetitive use injuries: introducing massage therapy as a key component of your wellness benefits package.

In today's fast-paced work environment, many of your employees are subject to repetitive tasks and prolonged periods of sedentary work, which can lead to musculoskeletal issues and decreased productivity. Research consistently demonstrates the efficacy of massage therapy in preventing and managing these conditions by alleviating muscle tension, improving circulation, and promoting overall relaxation and stress reduction.

Here are seven compelling reasons why incorporating regular massage therapy into your wellness benefits package is not only beneficial but essential for your workforce:

  1. Prevention of Repetitive Use Injuries

  2. Improved Employee Morale and Satisfaction

  3. Decreased Stress and Anxiety

  4. Enhanced Productivity and Performance

  5. Decrease in Absenteeism and Presenteeism

  6. Reduction in Healthcare Costs

  7. Enhance Employee Retention and Recruitment

At RehabMaine, we believe that investing in employee health is essential for organizational success. Through the WorkWellness Initiative, we aim to support businesses in cultivating a culture of well-being, where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to perform at their best.

No company is too small (or too big) and the program offers various pricing options so no one avenue is cost-prohibitive to the employer.
